the 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum Gift shop

We are proud to represent the men of the 12th Armored Division and to tell their story to all who will listen.

The Museum opened in 2001 and ever since we have striven to make it better each year.

These are the Faces of History.

These men are the reason we are here today to teach, remember and learn from our past

Each one of these men had a family, a sweetheart, and a plan for how their life was going to happen. Many of them never saw that plan to fruition, but all those who did - did it for the ones who could not!

  • May, 1945. Hitler is dead, the Third Reich is little more than smoking rubble, and no GI wants to be the last man killed in action against the Nazis.
  • The Last Battle tells the nearly unbelievable story of the unlikeliest battle of the war, when a small group of American tankers, led by Captain Lee, joined forces with German soldiers to fight off fanatical SS troops seeking to capture Castle Itter and execute the stronghold's VIP prisoners. It is a tale of unlikely allies, startling bravery, jittery suspense, and desperate combat between implacable enemies.
